The object
of the game is to be the first player to reach square number 100 (Jerusalem).
To
Begin:
Each player places his marker next to square number one (just off
the board). The person who rolls the highest number goes first. The
other players follow in turn from left to right with each person moving
according to his roll. For example, if he rolls a 3, he moves to square
3. The player must always follow the number sequence.
Ladders:
If a person lands on a square in which a ladder begins, he must move
UP the ladder. (For example, if he lands on square number 4, he would
go up the ladder to square number 14).
Slides:
If a person lands on a square at the top of a slide, he must move
DOWN. (For example, if he lands on square number 49, he must move
down the slide to square number 11).
Remember:
Ladders: GO UP, Slides: GO DOWN.
The squares
without pictures, but through which parts of the slides and ladders
pass, are counted as regular squares.
Two players
may stop on the same place.
Winning
The Game:
The first player to reach square number 100 (Jerusalem) by exact throw
of the die or by the ladder wins the game.
